She nodded and flicked Bluetail with her tail, telling him to calm down. He slid back in his claws and reluctantly mewed an apology

"Same goes for you!" Lilyflight told him, stepping in front of Wolfsong. Her voice lowered. "I know you're protective of Sunstrike, but you can't hurt Wolfsong."

Bluetail growled softly then turned his back on them and picked out some prey with Sunstrike. They both went to a small patch of sun to eat together.

Snowkit woke up and padded out, looking happily up at the sky. Her ancestors could see her even when she couldn't see them, she knew.
