He laughed, “Oh I know. I was watching her when I was assigned. It was right of you to defend your apprentice. This one was in the wrong.”

"Okay," she replied nervously. Secretly, she hated herself for being in The Dark Forest. Were they trying to pretend as if she was something more than a disposable creature used for training? If they weren't planning on killing her, then did they think she could make a valuable 'warrior' for their ranks? She shivered at the thought of herself, cold and cruel, governed by nothing but her own nonexistent conscience.

He led her there and showed her Moonpaw tracing with Cloverheart, “Shes learning a double paw flip.” He said and then continued on.

Lilyflight nodded, following the strange tom and forcing herself not to screw up her face at the rotting stench coming from the very earth she was standing on.

Once the night was done he told Lilyflight, “Before you go to sleep, say come here to yourself and you will come. Training intensifies tomorrow. If you don’t show, then we’ll just start on another at. Your choice.”

She nodded shakily. What have I gotten myself into? She felt the forest fade around her and she woke up in her nest, shaking and panting, with some blood spread around her.
