He continued "Once your mentor thinks you're ready, you get an assessment. Your first assessment is easy. All you have to do is learn the killing bite and then perform it on a cat of your mentor's choice. If you fail to show us you're loyal, that's when things get interesting." He said the last part with malice in his voice
Great. I should have known there was a catch. "What do you mean by interesting?"
"Oh, you know, we would only have to perform the killing bite... on you." He snarled
StarClan help me! "Good to know..." she muttered, hiding her terror. She would never kill anyone, and if cost her her life, then so be it.
"Oh, and Rustfang wouldn't hesitate to do either. He'd actually be happy to do it." He informed her, his eyes glittering threatingly in the moonlight
"Lovely. Happy to hear." She wrapped her tail around herself uncomfortably.
"Any other questions?" He growled
"No thanks... I think I'm good." She cleared her throat awkwardly. "Unless there's umm... anything else I need to know?"
He yawned and mewed "Nope, only that I'll be helping with your training today."
"Alright then... Thanks for helping me." She had to force the last words out because, in her opinion, it was hardly helping. But then again, maybe it was. Yes, he was amused by her fear, but he also hadn't made the rules and was only making her aware.
