Larkpaw will jump onto Fangheart's back when he doesn't expect it. @PollyGirl21 We're going to be nearby and Fangheart is going to order Blackblood to kill her. He won't and instead is going to leap onto Fangheart. That's when me and you come in."

"Sounds good so far... Then what do we do?"

Moonshadow nodded. "Okay, how about a simple crouch to start?"

"Okay!" She crouched low, keeping her tail straight out like a twig and close to the ground, making sure her belly didn't drag across the floor and tucking her paws underneath her. "Like this?"

"Sounds good so far... Then what do we do?"

"The killing bite." She whispered. "I have to... do the final part of my job tonight.... the hardest part. I can't reveal it, but you must be ready to strike the killing bite, okay?"

"Excellent! Try widening out your forepaws and closing up your hind paws for a more powerful pounce."

Larkpaw didn't hear any of the plan. She was waiting up in the tree, her eyes narrowed and fixed on Fangheart. She wriggled her haunches, waiting for the right moment to jump. She figured that jumping onto his back would be the best way to go from above. She unsheathed her claws and waited.

Snowpaw obeyed, spreading out her front paws and closing her hind ones. "Do I try pouncing now?"

"Yes, if you want to kill him. It's the only way." She looked up. "Larkpaw is about to strike. You must be ready, or his rain of terror will never end." She bolted out of the brush and hid somewhere else.

Snowpaw obeyed, spreading out her front paws and closing her hind ones. "Do I try pouncing now?"

"Try and hit this purple flower here."

"Yes, if you want to kill him. It's the only way." She looked up. "Larkpaw is about to strike. You must be ready, or his rain of terror will never end." She bolted out of the brush and hid somewhere else.

She sighed. "If it's the only way..." She slipped out of the brush.

"Try and hit this purple flower here."

Snowpaw pounced and landed squarely on the flower, making sure her claws were sheathed. "Like that?"
