*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“Okay.” She crept up on it, but she accidentally snapped a twig and watched miserably as the mouse scampered away. “Of course I missed it,” she muttered to herself.
Before it could get away, he slammed his paw down onto it's back and nipped it's neck. "It's alright, we make a good team." He mewed encouragingly

“But without you, it would’ve gotten away!” Floodpaw pointed out sadly. “Maybe it’s a sign that I can’t do anything for the Clan. I’m just a burden.” She hung her head and sat down dejectedly.

Maybe I should tell her.... No... it's too early for that He thought. "You're not a burden!" He mewed passionately. "Every apprentice loses prey here and there, but all we can do is learn from our mistake and try again."
 
“Sure.” Her tone didn’t change, but she looked a bit more interested as she lifted her head and looked at Batclaw.
"Alright. When Firestar was Firepaw and he had recently been found by Graystripe, back then he was Graypaw, he was given his mentor and he was trying so hard to impress them. For the first moon or so, he wasn't able to catch any prey whatsoever. Yeah, that's right, the great Firestar couldn't even catch a mouse!"
(I know this isn't true, but it's true for the purposes of inspiring Floodpaw XD)

“But that was because he was new. I grew up in the nursery and watched hunting crouches all my life, and I still can’t do it!”
