*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Larkpaw poked her head weakly out of the den, hearing the clearing of screeching cats grow silent. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her mentor and leader, Brambleclaw, get up and pad to his den.
She looked around and started to get to her paws, when a searing pain shot up her leg from her left front paw. Her legs buckled under her and she collapsed again. She gasped in pain, but lay there quietly clenching her jaw, tears stinging her eyes as she waited for the sharp pain to pass. After all, Brambleclaw was top priority. He should be taken care of and completely cured before her paw was treated, so she decided not to say anything about her hurt paw. She limped over to a moss nest and settled down for a nap.
*Bramblestar*

Feathersky saw her and rushed over. "Where does it hurt?" She asked, running her paws along her leg

Feathersky saw her and rushed over. "Where does it hurt?" She asked, running her paws along her leg
Larkpaw looked up, startled. "Nowhere. It stopped hurting" She lied, tucking her paws farther under herself. "Hows Bramblestar doing?"
Good gracious! She thought to herself. I'm keeping two secrets from the medicine cat now--my kits and my paw! She inwardly clawed herself at her dishonesty.

Feathersky, since she was a medicine cat and dealt with this on a daily basis, could see right through her lie. "Let me see you paws, please."

"I'm sure I'll be fine...Oh look they're feeling better already! I guess I'll just--" She got up to leave, then collapsed again, her front left paw bent at a disturbing angle.

Feathersky winced and then gathered two warriors to help her get Larkpaw to the medicine den. Once she was in there, she examined it and mewed "It's broken." Then she grabbed cobwebs and a poppy seed. She bandaged it and gave her the poppy seed

(Feel free to make the injury a bad one that she won't ever fully recover from, or one that will eventually heal....IDK. Make the injury as intense as you want. Whatever makes the RP more interesting. :idunno I could really go any way at all)

Larkpaw looked at the poppy seed in front of her. Somewhere in her mind she remembered being told that expecting queens shouldn't have poppy seeds. She placed her good paw on the poppy seed and scooted it aside. "I....I don't really feel like eating that..." She said, her tail tip twitching nervously.

Aspenkit wriggled around, leaving Sunstrike’s side to explore. He stretched his eyes open, blinking at the startlingly bright light.
"There you go!" crowed Grizzlykit. "You opened your eyes!" With a congratulating tackle, he pinned his brother down and gently tugged on his ear.
