“I promise,” he vowed, knowing this was a promise he could keep. He cuddled into Bluetail’s fur, savoring their last moments together and letting his father’s scent bathe his tongue.

He wrapped his tail tighter around him. "I knew I could count on you, little one." He purred. "And don't forget about that other stuff, alright? That other stuff is very important." He mewed, his voice becoming serious
