*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

He nodded. "So you're going to bring her to Bramblestar, right?"

Bramblestar sat in his den, contemplating if it was almost time to make Hazelkit and Aspenkit apprentices. They were getting close to 6 moons, but he did want to wait until they were able to rescue Lilyflight before he did that. He was once again reminded with a pang of fear and loss that his mate and deputy were not with him. I have to get her out of there. He thought desperately. His eyelids felt heavy and he reluctantly let them close and fell into a fitful sleep
“Yes, I am,” she said.
Snowlilly: I can follow your pawsteps easily. No need to purposefully step on things. *she said politely as she followed.* could I wash this dirt off before meeting your leader??
Snowfrost turned to Snowlily. “This is my mate, Rosethorn, by the way. Feel free to clean up a bit; but trust me that Bramblestar won’t mind much unless you’re planning on throwing it all over his den.”
She suddenly felt a pang of loss and grief, and after a moment she realized she was feeling Bramblestar’s pain over Lilyflight’s capture. She felt intense guilt and realized that this was her own emotion. Without Lilyflight, she and her kits would be dead by now. We have to get her back. I’ll do anything it takes.

Snowlilly: id rather show what color I really am. Im not really brown. *she said before grooming the dirt out of her white fur.*

Snowfrost was unsurprised. She knew what a white cat covered in mud looked like. Hadn’t Whiteshine showed her that when she had first been apprenticed? “I get it,” she said understandingly.

“She has good taste,” she teased, winking. She was, of course, making a joke to the fact that their names were so similar. “Anyway, we better be getting back.”

(Lol)

“Then come on.” She led the way back to camp, occasionally warning Snowlily of a log or rabbit hole that could injure her, but otherwise leaving her to manage on her own. She’s been doing this all her life, she reminded herself, fighting the instinct to protect her from the spiky undergrowth. I don’t need to help her unless she asks for it.

Rosethorn padded along beside his mate. After they got close to camp, he mewed "I'll go warn Bramblestar of your arrival." and raced through the tunnel to tell their leader. When Snowfrost and Snowlily came through the gorse tunnel, Bramblestar was groomed and waiting for them in the clearing. The cats standing around nearby gazed curiously at the newcomer. Blackblood watched her from a corner of the camp with narrowed eyes, his claws flexing in and out.

“I found this loner on our territory,” she reported, dipping her head in respect for her leader. “She says she was hunting and crossed the border by mistake. She may have an interest in joining our Clan.” She flicked her tail, using the gesture to silently communicate she had more to say, but it wasn’t for all ears. The weight in her belly felt heavier than ever, and worry for Lilyflight still lay in her mind, but it felt good to act like a warrior again.

Bramblestar nodded and decided he would have to question Snowfrost after he dealt with the new cat. His eyes shimmered in concern for a brief moment as he wondered why Snowfrost had left camp in the first place. He then turned his attention to Snowlily. "Hello, Snowlily. I have a few questions for you before I can allow you to join our Clan. Follow me to my den." He opened his jaws to ask Snowfrost to go get Lilyflight, then remembered she wasn't here. With a pang of grief and fear, he closed his mouth and turned, leading Snowlily to his den
