Stripe walked out of the bushes. “Wild cat!”

“What are you doing here?” Lilyflight demanded, fur puffing. This is his territory... No, he doesn’t have territory, because he doesn’t defend it.

“What happened to you?” he asked with wide eyes, ignoring her question and looking her up and down. She looked... awful. Like someone had taken care to cut up every inch of body for the sole purpose of being cruel.

Owlherb hurt Lilyflight hiss, and quickly sprang back over the wall, clutching the catmint in her jaws. She poofed up her fur, letting out a warning growl

“Calm down, I’m not here to hurt anyone,” Stripe protested, flattening his ears. “Are Snowpaw and Rosepaw doing alright? Do you know them?”

“What are you talking about? Do you mean... Snowfrost and Rosethorn?”

“Did they change their names or something?”

She dropped the catmint in a neat pile beside her then put one paw in front of it protectively. She wasn't taking any risks. "They're warriors now, so they earned their warrior names." She explained, slightly annoyed. "How do you know them?" She demanded

“I met them a while back,” Stripe explained. “They didn’t like me on Thundersomething’s territory, but they let me off.”

“Well, they’re warriors, and they have kits now...” Lilyflight said.

Stripe’s whiskers twitched. “I’m not surprised.”

She growled, not liking discussing their personal lives with a kittypet. "You should probably go back to your nest now, before it gets dark." She stated bluntly

“It won’t be dark for a while. Tell me more.”

“We have to get going,” Lilyflight responded bluntly, forcing herself to her paws so that she didn’t show weakness in front of this kittypet. “Bye.”
