*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“They’re getting big. They’re already a moon old.” She glanced at them fondly.

Featherkit nodded at her, making sure she saw it.
(They were born not that long after they found Skypaw... I think they're older than that XD)

Bramblestar smiled. "About another half-moon and they'll be ready to be apprentices." He paused, thinking. "Even little Flykit."

“He did well,” she reported. “We toured the territory, and tomorrow I’ll start teaching him some basic fighting moves.”

Dustfur sat up, and allowed herself a small sigh when she was sure no one was looking. She wished she could be fun, engaging, and social--traits that came to most of the mentors naturally and almost all had in common.
But she had always been guarded, independent, and stoic. After all, she though bitterly, Bramblestar wouldn't want to ruin a sunshiny young apprentice's attitude by sticking him with me--
She stopped herself there. She was well aware of the dangers of overthinking something, too. She was only making things worse if she turned angry.

Sunstrike noticed Dustfur looking thoughtful and sat down to join her. "Hey," She greeted warmly.

Dustfur's ears pricked with surprise as she was jerked out of her head.
"Oh. Hello, Sunstrike." She nodded politely, glad for the company, but knowing she lacked the social skills to keep her company for long.

"How have you been?" She asked, realizing she had probably interrupted her thoughts. She looked in the direction Dustfur had been looking and only saw Flamefrost, Bramblestar had already left. She shrugged it off

(Right lol. I keep forgetting where we are. I knew they must’ve been older though  )
“That’s wonderful. Especially since these two are getting too big for the nursery!” She gently batted at Featherkit, sending him tumbling off her flank, and he laughed.

(Lol)
He smiled. "They'll both be fine warriors. I just need to find them some suitable mentors... Ones that will go along good with their personalities and one that will promise to keep Flykit a secret..."

“Why does Flykit need to be a secret?” she asked curiously, straightening up. “I mean, it’s going to be obvious. It already kind of is. They might as well just be told.”

"I've been well, thank you." She glanced at the sky, noting the low position of the sun. "Winter is coming soon." She observed. "Has hunting been good to you? What you're catching now will probably be the last of the season."

He looked a bit taken aback. "Er... I mean, I thought that you might have wanted to keep it secret, but if you're okay with it, it doesn't have to be."

"So far I've been able to at least catch a mouse when I go out, but it is getting harder. I just hope this leaf-bare will be nice to us." She confided
