I'm starting to realize that my flock like maybe one day it's one hen and another itll be a different one that they have a runny nose. No other sign of illness but runny nose only happens when it's a cold morning or maybe cold day. Is it okay for this to happen? Are they like us how we get runny noses on cold days?

Have you noticed any sneezing or watery/bubbly eyes? Is the nasal drainage clear and thin, or thick? Chickens as other animals can suffer from environmental allergens and dust. Certain respiratory diseases may cause nasal drainage, but usually would cause sneeze or cough, gasping, head shaking, or noisy breathing. I would make sure their coop has very good overhead ventilation, and minimize fumes from droppings, and keep bedding dry and clean.

Very clear and very thin. The only time I can hear there breathing is if I'm in the face and there next to my ear. There coop is dry and I clean poop every morning. We add more and more ventilation every weekend until we think were good. This weekend were adding more. Dust well theres alot since there run is dry dirt and that gets everywhere plus dust they make. No sneezing well just when they've been digging in dirt and dirt is all up in there nose or if there eating to fast and inhaling the food dust. But that's it. And watery eyes? I dont believe so.

Could've just gotten something in their nose. Were they eating or drinking?
no clue. I don't think it was from them drinking tho as it was only on one part of their nose by the nostril.

I personally wouldn’t worry about it. Unless they show other symptoms that are concerning such as labored breathing, coughing, bubbly eyes, etc, I honestly wouldn’t worry about it.
