Hi everyone! Hoping for some help with my flock. I have 4 BCMs (3 hens/one rooster) with runny noses, pale combs, and hens stopped laying 3 weeks ago. I feared it was Bronchitis and have been giving vitamins. The hens have mild runny noses and continue to not lay, but seem to be doing alright otherwise.
I noticed my rooster was sleeping a lot, but has gotten progressively worse over the last three weeks. When i picked him up to check for mites/lice (I don't see any signs of either), i noticed he was very thin and a lot of feathers came loose. He has been losing his balance when walking (starting yesterday), and tends to lay down most of the day. Is sneezing and is gurgling when breathing.

I've isolated from the flock, and have been giving yogurt, meal worms, and vitamins. I added 3 Whiting True Blues in late July, which i had in a smaller coop nearby since May. Non of the Whitings appear sick. No other additions to the flock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would like to get them all the help they need!

There are many posts in this forum about chickens with runny nose, check them out.

This is my experience with chicken runny nose.
A few months back, my rooster had runny nose, watery eyes and sleeping a lot & quite miserable in energy. I took him to the vet and was told that he most likely had Mycoplasma. He was treated 5 days of Enrofloxacin and he recovered from it, but had sour crop after that 5 days of this medication.

I treated sour crop with Epsom salt drink, he recovered, but got running nose and watery eyes again, this time I got a bottle of
Oxymav B Soluble Broad Spectrum Antibiotic Powder for Birds 200gm. He recovered after a few days and well as far as I know.

When the weather really cold, some of my chicken sneeze and some VetRX stop the sneezing.

Thank you so much for your help! I'd read through the threads but was especially worried about the loss of balance and difficulty walking (terminal illnesses, etc). I'll try to the epsom drink as well. Thank you again!

Epsom salt drink is treating sour crop is your chickens have that. Read on the sour crop posts.

The Oxymav B Soluble I got is from a poultry supply store.

Please do update how your chickens are going, I hope your chickens get better. All the best.
