runny pip

Chick is pipping and fluid leaked out, with a few vessels. What's this? Last hatching did not have it.

How is the hatch going?

I am not sure about the fluid - maybe too much humidity and not enough evaporated out of the egg?

Just earlier today I had one pip and zip, and there was "runny stuff" coming out of the bottom of the zip. The poor thing died before it hatched. I think it drown. Which upset me because I could have helped it but I didn't.

That was the only one like that though....

Sounds like you had too much humidity during your incubation. Sorry. Hope the rest come out better for you
