Need help! Have new baby chicks and their poop is runny. How do I fix it?

A few follow up questions:
How old?
Shipped, or, store bought?
What are you feeding?
Are they too hot?
Any blood in the poop?

No blood, purina chicks, bout a week old, and starter chick feed, they r also on electrolytes

Temperatures which are hot or too cold can cause loose droppings. Feed formulations containing a high percentage of soybean meal will cause it too. Is the starter feed labeled as medicated? Sometimes overuse or too high a dosage of vitamins-electrolytes can cause more fluid retention, thus causing diarrhea. More concentrated forms of vitamin electrolyte powder are generally 1/4 tsp per gallon where others are 1 tsp. Proper dosage given 3 days a week. Once you have that sorted out, probiotic water soluble powder like Probios ( http://www.probios.com/powdersgranules.html ) are very beneficial for digestion and building the immune system when combined with a vitamin-electrolyte.

Will have to find out how high the feed is but thanks
