Hey all! So i was searching for info on survivability of my little runt. I had posted about her before, shes just tiny, a micro chick! I had posted before because she was having pasty butt. Weve managed that and shes not having it anymore. But she is very tiny and developing slower or differently. While i was searching i saw someone say theres a chance a slow grower might be a roo? I understand the succesful sexing is like 80 or 90 percent, so im wondering of we lucked out?
Piplup, as weve named her, is almost half the size of the others of her breed and they all have feathers on their wings about half way up while piplups only barely just got tips on the backside I f her wings. The rest have no other feathers yet. Wondering what yall think and what you know about it with your own experience and what i can look for if there are earlier signs. We're really hoping for one roo out of the bunch, so crossing my fingers!

Being a runt has no bearing on the sex of a chick. There are breeds like Cochin, and Orpington where males can feather out slower, but that's different than a bird falling behind in growth.
