This is my runt chick, he/she is about 2 weeks old now, and he doesn't seem to be getting any bigger than the day we got him. I picked him up to check him out, and noticed his eye didn't look quite right either?

Photo - top is left funky eye, bottom is right good eye.

He seems to be eating and drinking just fine, and he plays just fine with his chick mates.

Any ideas or suggestions???

It's hard to see, the photo is a bit unclear.

You don't mention any discharge coming from the eye, so it may be a genetic "flaw". Look at the eye closely, to make sure he doesn't have any bedding or debris in it or hasn't been scratched/pecked in the eye (usually the eye would have discharge and/or swelling if this is the case). If you see anything in the eye, flush it with saline or sterile water to see if you can clear it out.

Some chicks can be a little behind in growth, time will tell if they will catch up or they may have something else going on. If he is eating and drinking well and no one is keeping him from food or bullying him, then just keep an eye on his progress. You can offer some poultry vitamins a couple of times a week and add some chopped egg to the chick starter for a little protein boost.
