runt...should I separate it?

I have one chick that has had problems, but I hope it will make it. Anyway, it's 1/2 to a 1/3 size of the other 18 chicks. I haven't seen it get picked on yet, but I'm worried. It gets right in there for feedings & gets water. Should I separate it until it catches up in size? what are the pros & cons of separating chicks? I'm new to all this stuff. THANKS in advance.

I have a tiny runt too and it does just fine in with its twice as large hatch mates.

just leave it be, it will do fine and then be in a pecking order right away..no fuss no frills u shall see..
