SO i was candeling my eggs tonight and it looks like all my eggs have ruptured air cells? Both my own stock and shipped in eggs.

It looks like the yolk has popped and it just rolling around one side of the egg.

BUT! upon candeling them all I noticed some had noticeable VEINS?!

What does this mean? Are the eggs still bad or good? These are all Mutt duck eggs or possibly pure cayuga eggs by the way.

I have hatched MANY with rupture air cells. In fact, ALL of my original stock was hatched from shipped eggs and had ruptured air cells. I still got 8/12. Not bad....good luck!

I have a batch of 13 eggs that went into the 'bator the other night, and 6 of them for sure had ruptured air cells.
All the other eggs with ruptured air cells that I've tried to incubate never developed - but I'm giving it a go with this batch, because I've read so many stories here on BYC that they sometimes pull through.

They are less than a week, 5 days I think.
