This is my first year with them, but YES! They are friendy, hardy, and lay a medium sized brown egg. All the roos loved her this summer, so I had to get her a saddle! She hasn't laid an egg since....

These came from private people! I got the roo here in Indiana, and the hen came from Michigan! I think they originally came from Ideal Hatchery.
I have a couple youngsters coming up--I'll see what they look like when they mature.

Orloffs are great birds!

Personable, hardy, beautiful- just wonderful chickens. I had seven, but thanks to raccoons, coyotes and the other chickens am down to just one.
I haven't uploaded my photos of them to my computer yet, but when I do I'll have to post them.
I have had orloffs from Ideal and Privett, and the privett ones have far better coloring, while the ideal ones have good body type for the breed.
