We have a plastic bucket with the little red chicken waterers in it. We have very hard water, and the little ball bearings keep rusting. Anyone know how to prevent this? I'm afraid the chickens will get dehydrated because we know they have water but don't know when they can't get it out.

I'm not 100% sure of what type of waterer you're referring to, but you may want to consider a new type. If not there is very little that you can do, in essence, "un-rust," something. I would purchase something of either higher quality or different style of waterer entirely. Hope this helps!:D
