?'s about rabbit pellets and thin chickens

This is sort of a dumb question. I'm wondering if chickens can have rabbit pellets or even horse pellets as a treat. I was thinking about doing this in the winter since they don't get to free range and eat all that healthy green stuff. Rabbit and horse pellets are generally alfalfa and timothy based. I think the feed store I go to even has alfalfa pellets.

Next ?, my chickens are a little thin right now. They are eating layena pellets free choice. Anything I could add to the feed to increase their weight a little? They have been dewormed recently and are healthy otherwise. Maybe I just worry too much. I am planning on putting a few in the freezer this fall, so I don't want them to be too skinny.

Mine rob food from the horses an rabbits all the time. They seem fine. Corn + almost all livestock = fat.
