So sorry! I have a sheltie that will be 15 soon. She's deaf and almost blind...but she's still eating well and loves to lay in the sun. But.... I know her time is short. My heart goes out to you.
Tanya, I'm so so sorry. What a sad day today. And such sad times you've had in the past, with Abby to the rescue. Reading your note, it's clear she must have felt very loved, the greatest gift you possibly could have given her. Wishing you peace. JJ
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. It has been two years since I put my best buddy down, and I still look out the window expecting to see him there. My thoughts are with you today.
My grandmother had to put down her mini scottish terrier Jake last year. She had him for several years but when my dad brought him home to her he was covered in mud, thought he was brown not grey. Tied in a yard with no dog house. My dad has always had a soft spot and we have had many strays and abused dogs over the years. Once he brought home an Irish setter still attached to the dog house on the back of the truck. He was driving past saw the man beating the dog and told him if he didnt want him he would take him. Those rescued dogs just seem to know how good they have it with people like us. My dad used to say when Jake came to grams he must have thought he died and went to heaven. As you said, she needed you and you needed her, you gave her a good life and thats a great thing.
I am so sorry. It is always so hard to loose a beloved pet. I lost 3 dogs in 6 months due to cancer and swore I would never ever get another but finally I did. I'm so sorry. I know it's very difficult for you right now.
