Wow, that seems like a pretty small space to sit in for two weeks. Don't know if it could have anything to do with the issues he's having. I would also be concerned that once they are out of quarantine they are just tossing the new birds into the pen with the existing flock rather then having a separate run alongside for new birds so everybody can get used to each other through a fence for a while before joining the flock. Usually makes for an easier, more successful integration. Just seems a little hit or miss to me. What do they do if a bird never does get accepted by the rest of the flock? I've had that happen.
