Sad little chick-Help!

I just hatched 14 chicks in my incubator, but one can't really walk. At first it would try to stand and then fall over backward. It can get around the brooder, but I think it will die. It can get water and eat, but not really walk. Anyone have this happen?

I've had a couple like that and they both were walking normally within a few days, with no lasting problems after that at all. As long as the chick's legs aren't spraddled and there are no other health issues, it will probably be ok. Sometimes they just need a few days to get their "sea legs".

Thanks so much for the info about spraddled chick. I tried it and she/he is now hopping around. I'm amazed that people actually know this stuff! Thanks again.
