SAD NEWS...Oliver got hit last night....

Thanks all for your condolences... My DH buried him under a tree out by the chickens pen and covered his grave with cement edging so nothing will dig there. DS said goodbye to him again this morning when he went to let the chickens out. He sat there for a long time so he must've been talking to him too.

ETA: I very highly respect the lady for coming back...A lot of folks would have just went on and not looked back. She was really upset.

I hit a fox one time on my way home from work very late in the evening...We lived in a gated community, and I called the rent-a-cops(as we referred to them) and had them come out and put it out of it's misery. I was just bawling and I know they thought I was crazy, but they did it for me anyway.

OH how sweet...Thanks for the thought. My DH is not a cat person but I think he was kind of becoming partial to Oliver. The only reason he didn't protest us keeping him is because it was his moms cat first and we took him when she couldn't care for him anymore, and she asks about him from time to time.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

DH was never a cat person either until he found a little grey tabby puff ball at work one day, and that was it, LOL. He brought him home wrapped in his flannel shirt and announced "This is Willie," even though he wasn't even sure if it was a boy or girl, it didn't matter to him. Thankfully, Willie was a boy, and we all love and spoil him rotten.

I am soooo sorry for your loss, I am a huge cat lover myself. My heart breaks whenever i see one on the road. I have 2 but they stay indoors except for the occasional trip to the catnip patch on a leash. RIP oliver
