Sad news. Warning! Graphic content!!

A still air incubator. Idk the model or brand, it belongs to my grandmother, I'm just borrowing it.
Don't be feeling sad..Hope it hatches okay...It's a bit tricky your first hatch but as you go it becomes simple..:frow
Just get the temp up properly.

It’s normal to feel sad. When I lost my little Runner that wasn’t ready to hatch either I felt very sad. But you have to focus on the one thats left. Hopefully this one will hatch healthy an ready for life!!

Yes I am feeling better. It is my first go at hatching so I'm sure I'll get it eventually. The other egg is doing good, still alive. I'm afriad to candle it or turn it now, I don't want to mess anything up.

Visiting my duck friends made me feel better.

Are those four circles on the top vent plugs?
You need to take those out.

Do you have a calibrated thermometer in the bator?

If your temperature isn't close to right it can cause the ducks to not develop right.

Make sure you keep things clean too...it's very easy to introduce bacteria which can cause them to die.
