For those of you who have been following the "Surprising Visit" post, this is an update A couple of days ago, I let the geese out to romp with the chickens. They seemed so happy to be out of the backyard and wandered to my nieghbor's house to chase the ducks and see the big male goose that stays there, I think my dogs scared them, and I had a hard time bringing them back to my yard so I decided I'd let the stay out that night I know, I know dumb idea. Now keep in mind these are not my geese, I'm certain someone who lives out here thought, oh yes let's buy some geese for the lake and set them free. The only problem is they made pets ouf of them and made them not fearful, so they just made them a target, even knowing that I still feel guiltly about keeping them. Last night, my Standard Poodle got ouf of the fence and went on a rampage and chased the geese, and ducks in to the lake. After I got my dog and put him away I spoke to my other neighbor. She said her dog and her neighbor's dog (the only two animals that I dispise because these women will not keep their dogs in check and have killed several of my animals) had gotten one of the geese about a week ago, which was about the time I found only three geese, see the other post for more info. Well that made me more determined than ever to find these geese and put them back in my yard for good! I searched for them for about an hour but saw only this big male goose that's been around here for a couple of years. He stayed near my dock softly quacking as if I had the ganders. Anyway this morning they all four returned and came happily tp me for breakfast and bathing in their cool clear pool! YAY!!! They are again and forevermore will be located in housing on my property.

[IMG]https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7010664/width/200/height/400] This is the one that the neighbor's dogs attacked, she seems fine, but just has a little sore on her foot.

This is the big male. My goal is to also get him in a fence, but he's less trusting of me. It might be because when I gave him some scratch one day and he went after my hand to bite it I reached out and grabed him =( I didn't hurt him, I just held him, he is so soft, but I don't think he apprecited it.

So good that you have them back now, and as for your neighbor, if it was me I would be hinting that the next animal that dies wouldn't be one of mine... but I'm sure you're nicer than me.

Oh I hope you get him too he is beautiful as the other 4 are too. Oh people who do not control their dogs... biggie with me.

Glad they now have a forever home safe and sound too.

Big hug for taking them in!
