Been hoping the muffled quacky sounds and drake curled tails were going to change. Apparently not :(

4 pekins...only female is my Calvin who has recovered a LOT but still has a limited neurological issue.

I did luck out and my campbell is female and my 2 runners are a male and a female and the same with my rouen pair.

But geez...I really didn't want to have to lose my awesome puffy friends. So I will try to rehome them because this week they have reeeeally started mating action and very soon my females will be in danger. :hit

That really sucks! You better keep those big Pekin boys away from your little runners and kc's though. They are so much bigger I'd hate for them to hurt your smaller ones.

I'm in a similar situation sort of but luckily I've got all runners. I've got 3 drakes that I just love and only 8 girls and I know that's too many but I don't want to let any of my little drakes go either.

Awe! Sucky! Yah I have to do something quickly cuz they are trying for the kc but she is speedy lol. If I had a set-up ready I would split the drakes and go buy some females for them but...just not an option soon enough. Glad I started reading and researching early though so I knew that drakes would be an issue. Ah well, part of the byc game, right? Deal with it as we go.

it better to have four drakes? I guess no one is going to be in Danger unless they start to try mate with my hens. They are all kept in the same run... new duck mum
