I need to deworm my 13 girls starting tomorrow. I purchased the Safe-Guard 10% paste.
I plan to give them .23ml per pound, per bird, for 5 days. Which seems like 1/4 to 1/3 of a teaspoon depending on bird size.
My big question is, how???
I heard suggestions to feed in a piece of bread?

Any other suggestions are MOST appreciated!!!!
I’ve been reading threads until my eyes finally fell out, but I’m still confused.
Thank you!

Mine won't eat bread, so I physically restrain them and put it directly into their mouth. If you go this route, a towel and your legs are your best friend for restraining them. Make sure you don't get any into their glottis when administering it.

I know this post is old but I just wormed my hens with the equine paste using bread and it worked great. I used a syringe to get .23ml from the tube then put into a bread piece. The chickens liked the bread. Tractor supply only had the 10% paste but this is easier to administer than directly squirting into their mouth.

.23 ml is for a one pound bird.
It's .23ml PER EACH pound the bird weighs.
