Heart of Dixie
Like a dummy, I didn't write the date we set these eggs on the calendar and now we have no idea how close they are to day 18.

We are going to candle tonight and try to tell something from the size of the air cell and hopefully this hatch is not busted, but my question is this:
If the turning early on is done to prevent the embryo from sticking to the inside, do the eggs really need to continue turning past the point where the chick has grown feathers? Or would the chicks come out lopsided, cross-beaked, etc. from gravity pulling them down on the same side all the time?
Inquiring minds want to know:D.
