Safe to add turner after setting?

I set 3 dozen eggs in my LG last Thurday evening and have been turning 3x per day. I'm using the dry incuabtion method and also per the recommendation of other BYCers, I have my eggs in the cartons (just the bottom part) and I'm turning the whole incubator.

I found another LG with an egg turner today and was thinking about setting it up and moving my eggs to that. Bad idea or ??

Sure, why not? Eggs need turning, they don't care how it gets done.
