Can these 3 week old meaties go outside? Cornish X and red rangers some have more feathers than others.
Please tell me yes because oh gosh do they stink!
They will be going into a chicken tractor.
I have pics of said tractor and what they currently look like and my weather forecast.
First time with meat birds so trying to learn as I go.

Thanks for the replies, no heat source currently but the room they are in does stay very warm.
I’ll put them out after the rain on Saturday and keep a close eye on them.
I’m thinking they will appreciate the extra space

I put CX outside the day they arrive, without heat source as long as temps don’t drop below 60 at night. They get an area free of draft with hay to bundle up for sleep. I use a radiant heat source, not light, if the temps get below 60.

Outside loving life, eating all the bugs they can find. Im still a bit worried about the overnight temps dropping into the 50’s but hopefully they will all bundle together
