Looks like sensor is built-in.
Says it's adjustable tho...and responds to slow changing light only.
Maybe you could add a window right near the auto door so sensor can still function.
hmm... I don't think it would be possible for us to add another window but maybe I could adjust it so it needs less light, so the light that comes through our existing window during the day could be enough.

Where is the existing window?
You'd want to test it first, before moving door to the interior.

Yes, but this can only be accomplished with the Advance model by using the timer. The Eco model uses a light sensor to open and close so it would not work inside of a coop."

...or.....
If you have an Advance model you could mount it inside the coop. Otherwise there are a few possible solutions using pulleys that allow you to mount the opener in a few creative ways.
