safety of eggs I give to people.

Hi,
I have now read scary articles about eggs that are not from the store.
The article was about backyard chicken eggs could have salmonella and I would
pass this along and possibly make someone sick. (and then I could get sued for their demise).
Does anyone have info on the safety of chicken eggs from a backyard. ?

I honestly worry more about the safety of store bought eggs. They are raised in battery cages.

A home flock can still have salmonella, but not as frequently.
