I think that would be a fair price but it might also depend on the breed. Some people will not pay that much for a cockerel, especially if you are wanting to get rid of it. I gave my true Ameraucana cockerel for free even though I already invested at least $6 in him but he found a good home (for breeding purposes). But since you are giving a little bit of food with each sale, that seems like a fair price. It is difficult to put a price on them since you want them to find good homes but people might not see the same value in them that you do.
