I'm definitely a Vikes fan and was very sad to see them lose last night. I'm glad that the Saints could come so far and finally have a chance at the superbowl; they did play very well throughout the season. But they weren't stellar last night and almost didn't earn the win. Yes, the purple had FIVE TURNOVERS but the fact that the Saints didn't win by five touchdowns means something, doesn't it? Brett Favre gave everything he had and so did the rest of the team, and there were some iffy booth reviews later in the game that went the Saints' way. Plus that one touchdown where the running back was down and THEN stretched the ball over...even the announcers knew that wasn't legit. One said "they got away with one there." And the field goal to win it wasn't mind-blowing either.
*sigh* so congrats saints, but you're going to have to earn it to win the superbowl.
Saints didn't have to win with 5 TDs...they did what they had to do to win...Both teams' defense did a great job..yeah...If the tables were turned and the Vikings woulda won...oh you'd be ALMOST as excited as us...Saints fans love the Saints no matter what...win or lose...we love our team...allow us to be happy without trying to rain on our parade...
YAY Saints! I'm originally from WI., but had a jerk ex-boyfriend from MN. Plus the whole Brett thing. Just can't get past that...Besides, New Orleans could use a positive event!
The big question...will Brett retire again, or will he keep trying till he plays in the Superbowl again?
people whining about Brett Favre oughta be so lucky as to have to deal with the Michael Vick issue instead! arrrgghh. Its very hard to be an Eagles fan these days.
Can you say "Late hit?"" the refs were blind, my team could not hang on to the football, simple as that. I just don't see it as the best team having won the game.
That being said, I am going to have to root for the Saints now. Nice to see the underdogs win the Superbowl.
