sale in Palmyra, Nebraska

Not sure if I am going or not - may have to work if contractor is ready to go on a job.

May take a few birds up Friday night if I feel like giving something away. Probably one of the latest sales of the year - I think everyone else has had theirs?

You looking for something in particular

Decided not to take anything - will only sell at shows or from home anymore. Auctions are a waste of my time and fuel. Besides I really hate building boxes and by the time you build them you have more in the boxes than most cheap asses will pay for the birds in them.

Sorry pretty upset right now as I just got my check in the mail from the Shenandoah sale a couple weeks ago. Took 37 birds to sell in 12 built cages and they sent me a check for $43!! 1.5 hour drive one way to take the birds to the sale and didn't even average $2 a bird. I needed to move some birds but will do it in other ways from now on. should have know better as this is usually what happens to me. Most were from my show line of black wyandottes with a few white dotte rooster and a couple very rare dunn dotte roosters. Also had Large fowl Faverolles and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes that sold for $2-$3 each. Hatchery won't sell chicks in any of these breeds for less than $4 each let alone selling 3/4 to full grown birds!!

What I would have to sell yet would be some silkie roosters in blue, splash, and black. Bantam wyandottes in black mostly, with a few dunn roosters, and white roosters. Possibly a pair of blue wyandottes, and down the road I will have some blue laced red dotte and barred dotte bantams - but right now they are too young to see final quality. Also have some Large fowl blue laced red dottes and will have some Buckeyes in the future - but they have some growing out to do yet. Alot of my hatches were not until July - August.

Sorry again about the rant.
