Salmon breasted SDW sport rooster?

This rooster came out of a line of silver duckwing American Games (an old line of regular grey). Kept pure for many years, not polluted with red genes or other genes. Also pictured is his mother. Could someone help me figure out what mutation this is? His father had the typical silver saddle/hackle and black breast. The pair have produced a few sports over the past couple years similar to this but mainly typical silver duckwing looking birds. We have had this line for many years but only this pair produces the odd sports. It must be something recessive? Or a mutation? Because the parents look 100% SDW.

Thank you! We are backcrossing him to his mother in hopes of producing some more of whatever he is.

That is autosomal red. However, autosomal red is a dominant gene so I don’t know how it popped up.

Me either. The line is clean of red. Unless it is some sort of throwback from before we obtained the line.

Here is the father. I didn't pay any attention before but the cock has a little red in his wings, however it is subtle. I don't remember seeing any red whatsoever in the others.

I breed old English game bantams, so seeing this color intrigues me.
I want to add your roosters coloring in my cross color project.

That would be awesome to recreate in bantams!

We have bred this line for many years and only this pair produces the sport looking birds. If it's a recessive gene it must not have paired up just right until now.
