Hi all,
This is my first post and our first go with chickens, so forgive me if I am not in proper form! :)
From what I’ve read, I think our Salmon Fav, Matilda, is a pullet, but the darker feathers are making me a little nervous. She was bought at a grain store, so cane from a hatchery. Hoping maybe she’s just a “muddy” girl. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hatchery quality pullet.
Below is my hatchery quality SF cockerel at 5 weeks just for comparison of "darkness".
