Her type is great. I agree the color is a bit dark. They should have distinct lacing on the back and it should run into the base of the tail. The break in color in the wing is somewhat bothersome but she should make a great breeder with the right male. I have had some that were to light and it corrected with my awesome rooster. Is she standard or Bantam?
I just had to add, they are just the greatest chickens ever.
I'm not sure if I'll be selling babies. If I do it will be locally and I live in Eastern WA, but you never know. This is my first time hatching eggs (I have thirteen standard Faverolle eggs under two bantams and they are due to hatch on the 11th).
Right now I have the one Faverolle, pictured above, named Hawkeye.
I only have standard Faverolles, but I purchased my eggs from a breeder in Texas who is NPIP certified and also raises bantam Faverolles. So far everything from this breeder is going excellent. All the eggs arrived in tact. In fact I purchased 16 on eggbid.com and was given sixteen. As far as I can see, from candling, I will get at least my dozen and maybe even one extra.
