Salmon Faverolles in a Mixed Flock

Our faverolle runs the show. She came here with a Dominique that was the same age and she learned how to bully the other birds from him. It's pretty funny. The flock has barred rock, EE, Brahma Cochin mix and some mutts.

I have 2 SF (Simone and Sasha) and Sasha is at the bottom of the pecking order but Simone is somewhere in the middle. Simone is surprisingly ballsy, considering she bullies hens larger than her. I too was concerned about their reputation for being so docile so I planned to keep the 2 of them to make sure they had each other but Simone bullies Sasha. Go figure. I have to say that Simone has some serious personality. And their muffs and beards are SO CUTE!!

This guy is king of the hill among his "roo-mates"

he is a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana X Salmon Faveroole.

I just call him a Blue Faverolle... he is so gentle with his flock mates and especially the 8 week old chicks.

He will be going to my cousin's farm in on the far west side of Phoenix tomorrow. We'll miss him.

I just don't have enough room. I had to rehome his mother so this is the last of the faverolle breed here for awhile...

He'll be with some red star ladies as well as a few OEGBs... should be happy.
