I have 4 Salmon Faverolles hens 2 months old. The salmon coloring is of 3 different shades. 1 is light. 2 of a medium color and the 4 is dark. Is there a shade they are supposed to be??

Are they from a breeder or a hatchery? I've seen Salmon Faverolles that would all, I think, be classified as salmon colored that have different shades of salmon. However, I'm not sure about show standards.

That set came from Cackleberry. They are all shades of Salmon...I think! I never have any intention of showing. But, I want what I have to have the right # of toes, be the right color, have beards if they are supposed to, etc. These are for personal pleasure, eggs and meat. But I do want them to look like what the breed is supposed to look like. Possibly sell extra chicks??
TY for all replies!!

Here are 3 different girls I have/had. This last one is the only one I have now. Dogs and hawk for the first two. Well anyway, you can see none of them really have the same exact color. Some hatcheries are now classifying the girls as having a more brown color. But these girls I have posted all meet SOP on their coloring, conformation and feet and foot feathering.

I also have a black and a white faverolle hen. And a blue salmon hen. They come in several colors though salmon seems to be the most prevelant in the US.
