Hi all, I had a incubator problem with temps that were too low. Only 1 salmon favorelle hatched. I'm suspecting it's a roo. It's almost 5 weeks old. Can anyone tell me if they think this is a boy or a girl?

Sorry, can't really get them to stay still while using my phone to take photos.....

Thanks!!

I personally can't provide much help, but it's a very pretty bird.
Also I'm thinking it's a roo.
Thanks!!!

rooster. i hen would not have that much black.
Thanks! I think so too! Also, it's head is staying perfectly whitish - all the girls I've seen have more color to their heads. Time to find more eggs!!

Thanks for the help!!!

Thank you everyone!! His feathers are SO PRETTY. I guess it's just a reason to get more eggs! See if I can hatch a few more!!!

He's going to change a lot before he matures. Some cockerels are very messy in color while they are juveniles. I suspect he will be a light colored male. Where did you get the eggs?
