Salmon skins for chickens ?

so my grandmother told me to feed my chickens a salmon skin to try to make there feathers shinier and for healthier eggs. Im scared of fish flavored eggs ! any advice ?

Salmon will be good for them. Too much and you will get fishy eggs so they tell me but I have fed small amounts of fish and never noticed any fish taste in the eggs.
