Salmonella

I am a new chicken owners. Coop recently completed and my chicks are now about 6 weeks old. All healthy, nothing unusual. I have just been diagnosed with salmonella and have been sick for 2 weeks. How do I know which if any of my ladies have this and how do I get rid of it? What are the chances of contacting this thru 'normal' chicken contact?

I really doubt you got it from your chickens, unless you didn't wash your hands after handling them them fixed your food.
