salt or mineral spool licks for pets at farm stores 1"x2" round

has anyone use a salt or mineral spool licks for their chickens in the coop these are used for rabbits and any small pet, good or bad for chickens is the question?

I don't think salt is good for chickens

bdp, they would be an unnecessary expense and your chickens don't need them. In fact, too much salt - like Katy said - is bad for them.
