and jumps on my back! It's not in an aggressive way. It's like when I'm sitting in the grass or squatting to feed the other eleven ladies some treats. She just like to sit there and watch the world go by. And, after a bit, when I'm ready to stand up or leave them, she is resistant to get off my back. I literally have to push her off. They're 20 weeks old and we've just started to get eggs!

:thumbsupYippee! We've had them since they were an hour old and I've loved on them so much, they aren't phased when I wave my hands at them, shooing them away, or her off my back. Is this common?

If you were her 'real' chicken mama, she would be jumping on your back so I would say this is normal. Maybe she just feels safe when you are around, and wants you to protect her.

Thx! I know it's an affectionate thing. I often want to break into Karen Carpenter's "I'm on top of the world, looking down on Creation! "

You mean like this? LOL I did the same thing a few months ago, started a thread and got the best news back - they just LIKE YOU!! Enjoy!! Mine are still interested in getting on us but now I just start petting them which MAKES them squatt so they dont have time to get on me....
