Same pullet more than 1 egg a day????

Is it common for new layers to lay more than 1 egg a day? My girls are 23 weeks old. Thanks

The best I've ever heard of is every 23 hours. But anythings possible.

It can be possible but very unlikely.

Yes, It has happened before that the same pullet can lay twice in one day. I know for a fact, use to have a young RIR that would get out of the pen and had her favorite spot by the henhouse, I always checked her nest first thing everyday when heading inside the henhouse for eggs gathering. More than once I found two in her homemade nest but she out grew the twice a day thing.
