Same Space

I know this has been posted a couple times but I put my 7 week old ducks (4) and chicks (10) together in the same space. It is the official coop outside that they are in. The ducks have been out there for 4 days now and we just moved the chicks out there. The chicks are curious and my two blue Swedish have been pecking and mowing over the chicks Is this fairly normal? Kind of setting the order?

They are different species with different behaviors so they aren't going to establish a pecking order between the species. It's best to keep them separately when brooding at least. Ducklings can get big and rough faster than chicks. The ducks require a deeper waterer and will make stuff wet where chicks need things dry. As the chicks grow they may start pecking the ducks.
