I have a very pretty Blue Marans hen under my White Ameraucan Rooster. She lays a good size eggs. I'll bring some for the raffle.

Her comb is DQ besides I do not have a Marans rooster and I prefer EEs & OEs and will be working on changing all breeds into a flock of mixed EEs.

Oh, awesome!  How much are the raffle tickets?  We buy them at the event? What time is the raffle?

Raffle tickets are $1 for one ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. If folks bring exact change it'll make our lives easier!! Don't have a time picked out for the raffle, probably after most folks have arrived and had a
chance to look and things and buy some. Deviled egg contest is at 11, prizes at noon. Definitely after that. Yes, tickets available at the meet up. Must be present to win a prize, don't need to be present for the raffle unless you live far away where getting your prize to you would pose a problem. Thanks!

Love those dark eggs!! That hen is beautiful, and of course, the rest of your flock look pretty spiffy in their saddles.

Oh thank you ! every flock is loaded with stories. The greens are from an EE that I bred from a red star hen and a nasty buster t beautiful EE roo (Craigslist)who became STEW. But I have decided that EEs are the best birds.

I am not sure of the others but I think they are from a SLW Wyandotte. This bird was housed within sight of my flock . The owners were relocating to an urban environment and need to rehome her. I neglected to inspect and isolate her properly and she invested my entire flock with mites. I had never had mites before. UGH

In case anyone is interested I have an absolutely GORGEOUS black EE roo and THREE gorgeous blue/ lavender EE roos. All are nice.

Be sure to check the other San Diego meet up thread as well as this one for last minute add ons!! I can't keep up with the excitement!! Also, we know you're not planning on coming home with any birds, BUT please bring a box or two just in case you catch chicken fever!

If you have a lot of items to sell and are able to bring your own table please do so.

If you're entering the deviled egg contest the judging will be at 11 a.m. Please bring at least 6 deviled eggs and cover your plate. Look for the table with the "Deviled Egg" sign on it. You'll need to sign in to get a number.

Raffle tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. Exact change would be helpful.
